Mizoram's single-day spike cross 1k-mark

 Staff Reporter Aizawl, July 27:

Mizoram on Tuesday recorded the highest ever single-day spike of daily COVID-19 cases as 1,118 more people were diagnosed with the virus.

 

Detected from 6,392 samples, the single-day's positivity rate was 17.49 per cent.

 

As Mizoram has so far recorded 34,570 total cases of Coronavirus, 32 persons of every 1000 people have been infected by the virus, while 12 persons of every 1 lakh people have died. With two more deaths, of a 45-year-old woman and a 68-year-old woman, today, Mizoram COVID-19 toll reached 139.

 

After 165 recovered patients were discharged today, Mizoram has 10,355 active cases of COVID-19.

 

Till July 26, Mizoram has vaccinated 7,97,372 people against COVID-19 of which 1,76,451 have received full dose.
