Multi-Disciplinary Covid-19 Study Team from Central Arrived Mizoram

A Multi-Disciplinary Covid-19 Study Team sent by the Central government to study Covid-19 situation in Mizoram has arrived in Mizoram today. They had a meeting with the State Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) and officers from Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Aizawl East and Aizawl West this evening at 4:00 pm.

 

In a meeting presided over by Dr.PachuauLalmalsawma, State Nodal Officer, Covid-19, they reviewed and studied the performance against Covid-19 in Aizawl District.

 

The Multi- Disciplinary Covid-19 Study Team will have an interaction through video conferencing with Chief Medical Officers of various districts tomorrow at 2:00 pm. This will be followed by a spot visit to Covid Care Centres within CMO, Aizawl West. The team will leave Aizawl to study the status of Covid-19 in Champhai District on 7th October, 2021, the official sources said. Multi-Disciplinary Covid-19 Study Team members who came to Mizoram are - Dr. Vinita Gupta,Consulttant Epidemiologist, NCDC, Delhi and Dr.Varun Singh, Epidemilogist, NCDC Delhi from National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Delhi. Dr.LA Singh, Regional Director and Dr.RKPriyabata Singh, CMO (SAG) from Regional Office, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Imphal.
