With six fresh infections of coronavirus, Mizoram’s tally for Covid-19 toady reached 4,299.
The six new cases detected from 1,021 samples tested on January 11 at Zoram Medical College’s RT-PCR lab, Aizawl, Truenat labs in district hospitals and Rapid Antigen Tests.
Of the six new cases, three were reported from Aizawl district, two from Kolasib district and one from Lunglei district.
Except for a ten-year-old girl who was infected locally all of them, two BSF personnel and one Assam Rifles jawan and two NEEPCO employees, returned from outside.
Mizoram now has 96 active cases.
The state has so far tested 1,88,100 samples out of which 4,299 cases of Covid-19 have been detected, putting positivity rate at 2.28 percent. Out of 4,299 patients, 4,194 have recovered, putting the recovery rate at 97.55 percent.
Mizoram has so far reported nine Covid-19 deaths.
