Mizoram today reported 17 new Covid-19 cases, taking the state’s total ocoronavirus infectiobs to 4,310.
The 17 new cases detected from 789 samples tested in ZMC’s RT-PCR lab, Aizawl (255 samples), Truenat labs in district hospitals (99) and RAgT (435) on January 13.
Of the 17new cases, 11 were reported from Aizawl district, four from Lawngtlai district and two from Lunglei district.
Six of the new patients, including two personnel each of Indian Army and BSF, have returned from outside Mizoram.
Mizoram now has 101 active cases.
The state has so far tested 1,86,887 samples from which 4,310 cases of Covid-19 have been detected, putting positivity rate at 2.30 percent.
From 4,310 patients, 4,200 have recovered, putting the recovery rate at 97.44 percent.
Mizoram has so far reported nine Covid-19 fatalities.
