At least six people, including three children aged between 1 and 11, have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Mizoram, taking the state's tally to 4,419, a health department official said on Friday.
Of the six fresh cases, 4 cases were reported from Aizawl district and one each from Champhai and Saitual districts, he said.
While one patient has returned from Manipur, the remaining four have no travel history and it is to ascertain how they contracted the virus, he said.
Three patients have developed symptoms of Covid-19, while the rest three were asymptomatic. According to the official, the number of active cases now stands at 23, while 4,386 people have already recovered from the virus.
The recovery rate is 99.26 per cent, he said.
The Covid-19 death toll in the state is 10.
The state has also tested 2,30,420 samples till date, including 995 on Thursday.
Of the total 4,419 cases, Aizawl district reported the highest at 2,894, followed by Lunglei district, which reported 418 cases.
With 20 cases Hnahthial district reported the least.
