4 Covid-19 cases push state's tally to 4,432

Mizoram on Tuesday reported four Covid-19 cases after a brief lull with zero cases for the past three days between March 6 and 8, an official said.

 

The total cases have shot up to 4,432, he said. All the four cases were reported from Aizawl district, he said.

 

The 4 patients, including 2 females, aged between 28 and 70 years were diagnosed with Covid-19 during contact tracing, he said. They are all asymptomatic, he said. The number of active cases now stands at 7, while 4,415 people have recovered from the virus. Two people were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday.

 

The Covid-19 death toll in the state is 10. The state has also tested 2,39,090 samples till date, including 1,133 on Monday. 34,837 beneficiaries, including 315 people with comorbidities status and 5,587 old people of 60 and above year, have been administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine till Monday, according to the health department.
