Mizoram one Sunday reported one new Covid-19 case, pushing the state’s caseload to 4,436, an official said.
The new patient, who is a 53-year- old Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, have come from Maharashtra, he said.
The patient was diagnosed with Covid-19 on his arrival at Lengpui airport on Saturday, he said. He was asymptomatic, the official added. No Covid-19 case was reported on Saturday.
The number of active cases now stands at 10, while 4,416 people have recovered from the infection. The recovery rate is 99.55 per cent. The Covid-19 death toll in Mizoram is 10.
The state has also tested 2,42,331 samples till date.
So far 44,726 people including 11,962 senior citizens and 1,140 with Comorbidities, have been administered the first dose of Covid19 vaccine, according to the health department.
10,008 healthcare workers and 76 frontline workers have also already received second dose of vaccine, it said.
