Mizoram reports three Covid-19 cases

At least three people, all males, have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Mizoram, taking the state’s tally to 4,451, an official said on Tuesday. The three fresh cases were reported from Aizawl district, he said.

 

The new patients aged between 30 and 55, have returned from Kolkata and Guwahati and were detected with the virus at a screening in Lengpui airport with the help of Rapid Antigen Test on Monday, the official said. All of them were asymptomatic, he said. Mizoram now has 17 active cases, while 4,423 people have recovered from the virus.

 

The Covid-19 death toll in the state is 11. The state has tested 2,47,247 samples till date, including 720 on Monday.

 

While the Covid-19 infection rate is 1.80 per cent, the recovery rate is 99.37 per cent.
