30 new cases take Mizoram’s virus caseload to 4,685

Thirty-new cases today pushed Mizoram’s COVID-19 tally to 4,685 while active cases also have crossed 200-mark.

 

The 30 fresh cases were detected from 1,890 samples tested on Tuesday.

 

While Aizawl district reported 25 cases, three were reported from Kolasib and two from Serchhip, an official statement said.

 

While 20 patients have travel history, the rest 10 patients were locally infected.

 

Mizoram now has 204 active cases while 4,469 people have recovered from the disease and 12 succumbed to it.

 

The state has so far tested 2,66,380 samples.

 

So far 84,673 people have been vaccinated in Mizoram, officials said.

 

The state is expected to receive a consignment of 50,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine today.
