Mizoram on Monday reported 45 new Covid-19 cases, taking the state’s tally to 4,904, an official said.
Of the 45 fresh cases, 33 cases were reported from Aizawl district, 11 from Lawngtlai district and one case was reported from Kolasib district.
4 patients have travel history, while 26 were diagnosed with Covid-19 during contact tracing and it is to ascertain how the remaining 15 patients contracted the virus, he said. Of the 45 new patients, 5 have developed symptoms of Covid-19, the official said. Mizoram now has 374 active cases, while 4,518 people have already recovered from the virus.
The Covid-19 death toll in the state is 12. The state has so far conducted 2,75,600 sample tests for COVID-19, including 607 on Sunday.
