Mizoram reports 239 new COVID19 cases, three more deaths

Mizoram on Tuesday reported 239 new Covid-19 cases and three more fatalities, pushing the state's Covid-19 count to 9,068 and death toll to 29.

 

Of the 239 fresh cases, Aizawl reported the highest cases at 214, followed by Serchhip district, which reported 7 cases.

 

The remaining cases were reported from Lunglei, Mamit, Kolasib, Lawngtlai and Saitual districts. Two patients have travel history, while the rest were found to have locally contracted the infection. Of the 239 patients, 175 have developed symptoms of Covid-19.

 

Meanwhile, three persons have succumbed to infection at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) on Tuesday.

 

With this, at least 29 have succumbed to the infection. The number of active cases now stands at 1,981 , while 7,058 people have recovered from the virus.
