District Level Task Force (DLTF) on Covid-19 meeting held in Lawngtlai

A meeting of District Level Task Force on COVID-19 (DLTF), Lawngtlai District was held today at DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai.

 

The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, DLTF Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika. Dr S. Thaizi, Senior Medical Officer gave a brief status report on COVID-19 situation within Lawngtlai District. As per her report, currently there are a total of 297 COVID-19 active cases within Lawngtlai District being treated in CCCs, 4Cs and Home Isolation. She also reported that in a recent active case search carried out in Karlui-I, 147 positive cases were detected out of 678 samples tested with a positivity rate of 22%.

 

The meeting decided to continue imposition of partial lockdown in Lawngtlai District upto 4:00 a.m. of 21.06.2021.

 

Vegetable vendors and other shops/ stores selling essential commodities are allowed to open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. while other shops/stores like hardware stores can be open on Monday and Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour should be followed strictly in these workplaces.

 

The meeting decided to continue imposition of night curfew effective from 7:00 p.m. in the evening upto 4:00 a.m. in the next morning during this lockdown. Government offices will only be open with bare minimum staff if and when necessary, other staff will continue to work from home.

 

Within Lawngtlai town, essential works can be carried out following COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour with VLTFs' permission but only 5 workers or less are allowed at the same workplace.

 

Movement of general public other than emergency and essential activities is continued to be restricted. For essential activities, VLTFs' permission is required. Detailed guidelines to be implemented within Lawngtlai District will be issued by the Deputy Commissioner.
