India has reported a total of 35,499 fresh covid-19 cases and 447 deaths, according to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Monday.
India has reported 35,499 new coronavirus cases and 447 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the data shared by the Union Health Minister on Monday.
The active caseload of the country has declined by 4,634 in the last 24 hours and the cumulative caseload is now stands at 4,02,188.
A total of 39,686 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,11,39,457 across the country.
Among all the states, Kerala reported the highest number of cases at 18,607 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 5,508 cases, Andhra Pradesh with 2,050 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,956 cases and Karnataka with 1,598 cases.
The five states accounted for a total of 83.7 per cent of the fresh daily cases, with Kerala alone responsible for 52.4 per cent of the fresh infections.
Maharastra reported the maximum number of casualties on Sunday at 151, followed by Kerala with 93 daily deaths.
The daily recovery cases, however, stand at 39,686, outnumbering the total fresh cases registered on Sunday. This brings the total recoveries to 3,11,39,457 across the country. The country's recovery rate has increased to 97.4 per cent.
A total of 13,71,871 samples were tested the previous day.
Covid-19 vaccines administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive surged to 50,86,64,759 with fresh 16,11,590 doses administered on Sunday.
