Mizoram COVID-19 count reached 1,24,026 on Friday as 508 new cases were reported, which is 18 less than the previous day, a health department official said.
The death toll rose 444 as seven more people have succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, he said.
The single-day positivity rate was 14.18 per cent as the fresh cases were detected from 3,581 sample tests, he said.
At least 119 children were among the newly infected people, he said.
Two patients have travel history while the rest 506 were found to have contracted the disease locally, he said.
The number of active cases now stands at 5,725, while 412 people have recovered on Friday till 5 pm, taking the total recoveries to 1,24,026.
The recovery rate among COVID-19 patients is 95 per cent and the death rate is 0.35 per cent.
According to state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), more than 13.33 lakh samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far.
Over 6.98 lakh people have been vaccinated till Thursday, of which 5.20 lakh people have received full dose, according to state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi.
